
Alex Allgood, Founder & Managing Director
Alex Allgood, the Founder of VeriQuest Investors, has over 30 years of experience across a range of principal investment and investment banking roles and over 10 years of experience in working with middle market and lower middle market, owner/entrepreneur-owned and family-owned businesses. He has developed a keen understanding of the opportunities and challenges associated with middle market businesses. ​​
Prior focusing on VeriQuest, Alex had various investment positions, including a direct private equity position at a family office. Prior to these roles, Alex was a Senior Vice President in the Mergers & Acquisitions department at Lehman Brothers, Inc., where he spent ~9 years in New York and Silicon Valley in the Consumer, Industrial and Technology industry verticals and was the staffer for the Technology M&A Group in Silicon Valley where he managed the junior staff in the group.
Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Alex worked in the Corporate Finance Group at Nesbitt Burns Securities, Inc. (now BMO Capital Markets) in New York where he focused primarily on Energy transactions and at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Houston in a non-audit, financial advisory capacity.
Alex lives in Dallas with his wife and two wonderful daughters and is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a BA in Finance and an MBA with a concentration in Finance and Dean’s List distinction.

Head of IT Services and Software & Managing Director
Richard Parry is the Head of IT Services and Software at VeriQuest Investors. He has over 27 years of M&A experience, including working in leadership roles for Deloitte and IBM Consulting and as a Co- Founder and a Managing Partner at Atlantic M&A, an independent consulting firm focused on M&A integration and post-merger execution.
Richard has deep M&A expertise, where he has delivered successful M&A outcomes across the entire M&A lifecycle for a wide range of clients, including global clients such as Dell, Pfizer, Suez, Xerox, DoD, IBM, and Apple, and has deep industry expertise in the Technology, Health Care, and Business Services sectors. Richard has completed over 70 commercial due diligence and technology due diligence projects and over 100 post-merger M&A integration or divestiture projects, including serving as the Chief Transformation Officer of a global KKR portfolio company where he integrated ten acquisitions in two years. Additionally, Richard has published M&A-related articles in the London Business School’s Business Strategy Review and has contributed to a textbook titled “International Private Equity”, which is used to teach Private Equity at the London Business School.
Richard lives in New Hampshire and has three children. He is a graduate of St. John’s College at Oxford University, where he earned a MEng (Hons) in Engineering Science, Economics, and Management. He has also received a Sloan Fellowship in General Management with a concentration in M&A Finance from the London Business School and AWS cloud certifications in professional architecture and security.
